French rabbit: 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon [shelf talker]

Wine Diva — 9/6/2006
Score:

Sweet, fresh blackberry, a hint of smoky cassis, dark earth, tobacco, a solid dose of bell pepper and a chewy somewhat dusty finish that sticks around. You may be pleasantly surprised by this wine, the price and quantity and typical Cabernet elements. Caveat: do not serve it to your wine snob friends unless you blind taste them! I Repeat...this is a 1 Litre-excellent value!

With black currant fruit carried on lively acidity, this cab shows its Gallic roots in its savory flavors and gravelly underpinnings... It fits in a backpack far better [than a glass bottle] - perfect for picnics mid-mountain and kayaking trips.

The herb tinged flavors are pretty simple, but the texture is full and smooth, and the Tetra Pak packaging is a trend that should multiply.
