DeLoach Vineyards

DeLoach Vineyards has been a pioneering producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel in the Russian River Valley since 1975. As a winegrowing region, The Russian River Valley is known as “America’s Burgundy,” a distinction in which DeLoach has been an important factor. The winery has received numerous accolades and 90+ ratings. The Wine Spectator’s James Laube calls DeLoach “one of California’s best producers of chardonnay,” and Wine and Spirits has proclaimed DeLoach “Winery of the Year” TWELVE times, including 2011 and 2012.

Our goal at DeLoach is to produce exceptional wines that spotlight the personality of the Russian River Valley and to passionately seek understanding of the valley’s unique terroir, ensuring the wines are terroir driven and distinct. We successfully do this in a socially responsible and environmentally sensitive way. The estate vineyards and garden are certified organic and Biodynamic, and in the cellar we use traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques such as open top wood fermentors, native yeast fermentations and hand punch downs.

Estate Chardonnay With this wine, we celebrate the first Chardonnay harvest of the DeLoach Estate Vineyard. Planted on the Wente clone and Clone 809, the Chardonnay blocks yielded fruit with excellent flavor at lower alcohol levels. Sonoma Stage Vineyard Pinot Noir This lush dark ruby beauty boasts a weighty blend of ripe strawberry jam, earthy violet spice and tart cherry cola, with aromatic edges of toasted hazelnuts and white peppercorn. Stubbs Pinot Noir Stubbs Vineyard is located in a narrow valley that opens to the south of the vineyard and is divided by a seasonal creek that helps drain the area of cold air during the frost season. Vicki's Block Chardonnay The grapes for this wine come from a small block in the heart of Hawk Hill, in what we feel is the best section of the entire estate. Read the Tasting Notes	Von Weidlich Vineyard Zinfandel Aromas of blackberry bramble and cherry vanilla with essences of cider spice and nutmeg. Wild Creek Cabernet Sauvignon It is redolent with aromas and flavors of cassis, molasses, toasty oak, which overlay a touch of cedar, tar and Brazilian coffee bean. A tightly focused mid-palate of red currant and velvety firm tannins leads to a very alluring finish. Read the Tasting Notes
