Lyeth Releases 1995 Red Reserve Wine

NAPA VALLEY, Calif., April 28, 2003 - Lyeth Estate has announced the release of it's Red Reserve 1995 wine. This 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is highlighted with aromas of cedar, deep cinnamon, plum, chocolate and black cherries.

From the beginning, the idea behind Lyeth was to establish a brand that consumers select by name and reputation, rather than varietals. Lyeth Reserve is that wine. The winemaker sets aside exceptional lots of several grapes, whatever he feels is choice. Then, following in the great traditions of the grands châteaux of Bordeaux, he uses his talent and judgment to craft a blended wine that speaks fluently of the earth and climate of Napa Valley.

Lyeth Estate is part of La Famille des Grands Vins (the family of great wines) of Burgundy based negociant Jean-Claude Boisset. Founded in the early 1980's, Lyeth joined forces with other California wineries in 1988 to establish the association that invented the name Meritage (a combination of merit and heritage) and which still sets the standard for American-style blended wines.

The 1995 Lyeth Reserve is ready to drink upon release with a suggested retail price of $30.00 per bottle.
