Founded in 1980, Boisset Family Estates is a family-owned producer and importer of fine wines with its roots in Burgundy, France. Boisset, La Famille des Grands Vins was founded there in 1961. Boisset’s collection of more than twenty historical and unique wineries boast leading positions in the world’s pre-eminent terroirs, including Burgundy, Beaujolais, the Rhône Valley, the South of France, Canada, and California’s Russian River Valley and Napa Valley. One of the world’s foremost producers of Pinot Noir and principal proponents of organic and Biodynamic® viticulture, Boisset crafts fine wines with a strict terroir approach: each house in its family of wineries has a unique history, identity, and style, yet all are united in the pursuit of superior quality.
Jean-Charles Boisset, President of Boisset Family Estates, grew up in the vineyards and developed a life-long passion for wine – both its production and its enjoyment. He possesses a long-term vision for his family’s company that stems from a dedication to innovation and the environment while continually focusing on crafting fine wines of distinction. This vision has led to pioneering efforts in sustainability from the vineyard to the vessel. He has implemented sustainable, organic, and biodynamic farming practices at the family’s vineyards, while simultaneously introducing alternative packaging innovations that reduce a wine’s environmental impact and carbon footprint.
